A TWO YEAR TRAINING PROGRAM
IN VERNACULAR JAZZ DANCES
Lindy Hop
The Lindy Hop, is a partner dance created
in Harlem (1928) characterized by
improvisation, communication between
partners, and a dynamic relationship with
the music.
Authentic Jazz
Jazz dances include a wide range of solo
forms, often referred to today by the terms
'solo jazz' or 'authentic jazz'. They are based
on principles of improvisation, rhythmic
play, and individual expression.
Who is this for?
Black dancers
(semi-professional to professional):
For dedicated learners or dancers with professional
backgrounds interested in becoming tradition
bearers of Jazz dances.
Dancers interested in training around the year!
1 week intensive training in New Orleans June 14th
to 21 2026 (travel and housing provided).
Weekenders throughout the year in Houston, Texas
every quarter for continuing training.
