Al Minns Next Generation Project

Donation Explanation

On a summer night in Harlem, feet skimmed the Savoy floor and history caught rhythm. Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz were not trends. They were inventions. Crafted by Black Americans who turned joy into choreography and resistance into swing, these dances remain living archives of brilliance.

The Al Minns Next Generation Project (AMNGP) exists to guard that flame.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, AMNGP is devoted to preserving and teaching authentic Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz as they were created and passed down, rooted in the Black cultural experience of Harlem, NYC. We train emerging young Black dancers not only in steps and technique, but in lineage. They study the artistry, musicality, history, and spirit that define this form. They are not simply performers. They are cultural bearers.

A tax-deductible gift to AMNGP does more than fund dance classes. It sustains cultural preservation. It supports rigorous training grounded in authenticity. It uplifts the next generation of Black artists who carry this uniquely American art form forward with integrity, excellence, and historical truth.

When you give, you help ensure that Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz remain what they have always been: vibrant, rooted, and unmistakably born of Harlem.

Join us in preserving the legacy. Keep the rhythm honest. Keep the story alive.
